Mission Statement
The members of the Northeast Union Rural Fire Department shall
strive to protect the lives and property of the citizens of the
Northeast Union Rural Fire District through fire suppression services,
pre fire planning, and public education.
We will serve this community to the best of our abilities and training.
We are committed to continuously improving our understanding
of the properties of fire and the fire prevention needs of our residents,
the surrounding districts, and the state off Mississippi. |

The home owners in Northeast Union County will see a decrease in insurance fire ratings effective July 22, 2009. The coverage area for the Northeast Union Fire Department has been reclassified from a 9 rating to an 8 rating, the lower rating the better insurance rates are available. Home owners should see a 10-20% decrease in premiums.

The Northeast Fire Department’s newest piece of equipment will help to significantly improve its responses to threatening situations, the department’s chief Butch Cobb says.
The department was able to purchase a 2009 Ford F-550 for use as a rescue/wildland fire response vehicle, with the help of a 2008 Assistance to Firefighters Grant.
